Literally the only people complaining about it are pussies and virginsI have just found out there has been a huge controversy because Isa Guha used a word that could easily be misinterpreted as a racial slur. It sounds like it has created a furore and Isa has been criticised in very strong terms by the media and online commentators. Something like that has the scope to cause tremendous hurt and distress and IMO the only decent thing to do in this scenario would be for all of you to apologise to Isa Guha.
Huh? Top run scorer last time WI toured @46.3, 178 runs @44.5 in the windies tour before that. 209 runs @70 vs SA (196* was most of those runs, tbf). Pakistan he was the third leading run scorer, 220 runs @37. If you think an opener averaging 37 in his worst series is poor you need to check in to a mental health clinic.Outside of the last ashes in Australia Khawaja has been poor in Australia since his return (SA, WI x 2 and PAK). All of his runs have been overseas (Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India and England) with the one overseas series failure in New Zealand. While he shouldn't get an unlimited run I wouldn't be so keen on writing him off based on that, the conditions and general lack of decent alternatives to open.
He's not been great but I wouldn't be surprised if he did well in Sri Lanka (assuming he sticks around and gets selected). Ultimately I think he's generally done a decent enough job to soak up the new ball. With the current conditions and Kookaburra it's really a matter of just trying to survive 30 overs and then cash in afterwards.
If he's keen I wouldn't be against keeping him around and maybe binning him next Ashes given his struggles in Australia.
Yeah it's a non-event manufactured to be controversial by clickbait reporting. Can't believe the attention it's getting.Literally the only people complaining about it are pussies and virgins
Yeah I could see something bad coming from this, in terms of her mental health. She should take a break IMOI have just found out there has been a huge controversy because Isa Guha used a word that could easily be misinterpreted as a racial slur. If a white male commentator called Bumrah a 'primate', he'd never be seen in commentary again. Let's be honest.Yeah it's a non-event manufactured to be controversial by clickbait reporting. Can't believe the attention it's getting.
I was taking the piss. I'm saying she's hot.Yeah I could see something bad coming from this, in terms of her mental health. She should take a break IMO
Perhaps back to ****ty old England for the winter may be the best medicine.
Yeah I know that's exacy the reason this is getting any air time and it's a false equivalence. Context matters and the fact of the matter is Guha is not a white male commentator, and it does not carry the same meaning coming from her as there's no colonial or racist history attached to it.If a white male commentator called Bumrah a 'primate', he'd never be seen in commentary again. Similar to tennis commentator Doug Adler calling Venus Williams' tactics "Guerilla mode", and was hounded out of tennis till he had a stroke.
Was only going from memory and definitely better than I had remembered. Overall though he's been better away from Aus (leading run scorer in Pakistan, India, England and potentially even Sri Lanka from memory) so given that no reason to dump him so quickly if he's still keen to play given we have SL and a potential WTC to come next.Huh?
