He'll probably go on a roll now I've said this but I think Burgey was on to something when he compared Deep to Hilfy. Bowling "good" areas but I don't think it's going to catch the edges and the pads.

And as I say that Bumrah gets Usman out.
His length in that over seemed a lot better to me

Not sure if this was a plan or not but McSweeney has only faced 3 balls from Bumrah, while Khawaja has only faced 40 balls (and now out)
Accident rather than plan (though it makes the way McSweeney kept getting exposed to Bumrah in Perth very odd)

Last 10 ov (RR): 7/1 (0.70). They certainly have a plan. Honestly that's what I would do if facing Bumrah. Just gotta get him off and then start picking it up.

Khawaja’s reluctance to get a full press in was shown up there. He’s never been one for a big forward movement and when it decks around getting caught on the crease is problematic
I don't think it's a problem he's solving at 38 though. But I thought the Indian bowlers would certainly be ones to exploit that weakness, and they have.

I really wonder if McSweeney just doesn't line Bumrah up properly because that's like the fifth time he's defended down the flat out wrong line to him this series and nicked it

Technically he looks better than the other options but still not quite convinced on McSweeney opening.

I think the logic with Bumrah seems to be "see him off and score runs off the rest", but I honestly think he's too good, and length too threatening, to sustain that.

And that looks a really worrying adjustment from Smith.
