Australia have won only the pink ball test since the last 2 BGt's, and this time also India will comeback in a solid way... I hope to see a tough fight that match must last till the 5th day.

What's the longest any pink ball Test has lasted in Australia? It doesn't strike me as a way to maximize attendances....
The good thing about pink ball tests in Australia is they allow people to make their way down to the ground when they're on the way home from the beach or the shops. Nothing else matters.

From all the reports I saw his figures might have been fine but his actual bowling in those recent games looked well short of a gallop as far as pace and intensity went; it's all fine to trundle in and take poles and half pace when you're as good and skillful as Shami is but full on Test intensity is a very different matter.

Pant pre injury was a chubby lad but still athletic. But you’ll have a tough time convincing me that shedding some pounds would make him worse.

It’s just unprofessional. These sorts of things are the 2-3%ers you should absolutely care about.

Nobody’s even asking for a Kohli level obsession. Just basic levels required of even school level athletes in many sports.

You can only hide behind “cricket fitness is different” up to a certain point.
Kohli and shubman gill are very athletic and trim. That's the modern standard.

I love how one Test ago everyone thought Marnus should be dropped and in this post you've literally advocated for dropping every member of the top seven except Marnus, including Head for some unknown reason who's in his prime and just made a ton.
Whoops I made a error with the submission was rushing

Should be in 12 months, ashes

1. Konstas
2. Khawaja
3. Labuschagne
4. Mcsweeney
5. Head
6. Inglis (w/k)
7. Webster (all rounder)
8. Starc
9. Cummins
10. Hazelwood / Boland
11. Lyon

12. Fergus O Neill. Potential debutant as 5 test series.

This is the potential starting XI for ashes assuming Smith continues this kind of form and Konstas is in reasonable shield form. Need to debut a younger opener IMHO

Inglis, is a lot better bat IMHO than Carey who is hot and cold. Webster, looks excellent as the Green replacement

England will be a huge challenge with their in form powerful batting lineup and revamped pace attack

Carey is a significantly better keeper than Inglis from what I have seen

Green will be back batting at least

Pretty bizarre not playing Green at all

Why even have Webster, Inglis, Abbott and Doggett in the squad. Appears they were never going to play (rightly so for all but Webster)

For two days - they'd have still been scraping sand from their crevices when it finished on Day 3.

Amazes me that touring teams agree to play them anymore, only a freak result against the WI hasn't been an Aussie win. I think it may prevent an English whitewash next year!!

Thinking Adelaide's day nighter will prevent England losing 5-0 is a strange take.
