Verstappen calling the stewards "stupid idiots" over radio and F1 broadcasting it won't do much for hos image of being a ****.

Dominant drive from Lando today. Bloke is probably rueing what could have been.

Divestappen likely to be a one man army again next year in a car on par with McLaren and Ferarri so that will be fun.

Crossing my fingers for Yuki to get that second seat but won't happen. Why make a halfway sensible call when you can ruin the career of Lawson, Colapinto or Hadjar instead.

I really want a Hulkenberg and Audi title run in 26. Won't happen but if we're back to engine being king under new regs then rocketship pls.

Checo seems to be intimating he wouldn't be "retiring" and unless he gets a decent offer, will force Redbull to fire him, and more importantly pay the contract.

Seems fair tbh, one would have though that Redbull would have had the common sense to have put performance clauses into the new deal.

So if Perez was only re-signed by Red Bull because of the sponsorship millions he brought with him, then doesn't that mean he's just like Stroll in that he basically bought his F1 seat rather than earned it?
Quite the same. Technically Yuki is primarily there because he's linked to Honda as well, but at least he earns his keep.

The main thing that was really upsetting for me about the race how poorly all the potential exits final races went. Perez, Bottas, Colapinto (for now), Magnussen. None with any sort of positive send off, and with the exception of Bottas, all completely not at fault. At least Kmag got a token fastest lap

So that's it. Only driver spots technically open are Perez (contracted but about to be fired) and Lawson who doesnt have a contract yet. Here are next year's drivers as they stand right now (new drivers to team in blue).

McLaren - Norris & Piastri
Ferrari - Leclerc & Hamilton
Red Bull - Verstappen & Perez
Mercedes - Russell & Antonelli
Aston Martin - Alonso & Stroll
Alpine - Gasly & Doohan
Haas - Occon & Bearman
VCARB - Tsunoda & Lawson
Williams - Albon & Sainz
Stake - Hulkenburg & Bortolito

Interesting only McLaren and Aston Martin have unchanged drivers (assuming Lawson or Tsunoda goes to Red Bull).

Perez should be in a tier all to himself. He's had a dreadful season.
Well I hate Stroll and he sucks. And Sargeant c’mon, doesn’t have the expectations Perez has but he was so ****ing awful.

Zhou and Bottas I found really hard to rate because of Sauber being so **** during the season. iirc when Sargeant left Zhou was consecutively the worst qualifier for a long time (sometimes well off Bottas). But then again he scored their only points.

There was a period in the season where Sargeant was regularly out-qualifying Perez ffs. Given the disparity in machinery that's ****ing embarrassing.

I mean I did put him lowest haha.

Just looking at the stats (idr if there was anything unusual about the particular qualifying sessions) but Bearman outqualified Hulkenberg both times he was in a Haas. Surprising considering how good Hulk was. Definitely keen on some of these young guns. Hopefully Colapinto manages to get on the grid in some way.
