Tactically it would make more sense for Webster to come in , an inform all rounder that can be relied upon to bowl a decent quota.McSweeney can stay
I’d replace MMarsh with Konstas
You say this but this is now eight out of the last ten innings where they've been rolledIndia aren't gonna get rolled in 50 overs twice again. If we're gonna replace marsh bring in webster.
It’s tricky under lights - it absolutely changes everyone’s mindset. Like if that’s a day test, India looks to grind out their second dig but under lights it’s like everyone just thinks they’ll have a slog til the one with their name on it comes along. Aus’s batting inthe second session yesterday was the same, just they had a lead by then so it helped in that situation.Rana’s spells against Marnus and Head were obviously poor but Head consistently hit Bumrah for boundaries as well. It was just good batting. India needed an innings like that, or at least a string of middling scores even. Their current batting lineup is too inconsistent to deliver defensible scores innings to innings.
Rohit is thiccMan, these guys must/need to have thick skins
Wait till you see Carse and Woakes in tandem thoughNature is healing
Add another innings. Let Aussies keep batting and have to bowl India out again (and have another innings too if they need). 3 innings a sideit’s 1.40pm and i’d kept my sunday free for this ffs.
they should play a little exhibition game imo. actually there’s probably enough time for a whole test match.
Tristan Stubbs of South Africa seems to be following the tradition, for a kid who is a T20 superstar he has tried incredibly hard to bat like a traditional top order batter for South Africa in tough conditions. That style of player is long gone. The Likes of Dravid, Kallis, De Villiers and Pujara, patient and consistent 50+ AVE - ATGs, accumulators, thats a style from 20+ years ago. India also had Gambhir who was 45+ AVE at his peak, very patient defensive player. That style is long gone.
People are growing up in IPL and T20s and ODIS. We sadly wont see such styles again.
Sides becoming stronger from a test they have won has only led to losses mate.Well done Australia to fight back from the Perth drubbing. Labuschagne and McSweeney the nice surprises. Just need to get Webster in for Marsh to make the side even stronger at the Gabba
They lost last year against Windies.Ok.. which pink ball test did Australia lose? I thought they were unbeaten? Or was it only at home?
