**Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

Kirkut

International Regular
Anyways, it's 1-1 already, only a matter of time.

The first test was won purely on Bumrah's brilliance, otherwise nothing changes from the embarrassment at home against kiwis.

Whatever it takes!!!
I dont think we bowled that badly and getting Australia for 350 was definitely par for this pitch IMO, even considering the night session. India just batted poorly and then bowled poorly for a bit early on yesterday.

Also think Ashwin bowled really well without some luck today. He should have had two (and getting Head before his 100 would have been something) and could have had 3 the way he bowled. Really hope sanity prevails and he continues to play this series.

only good thing i can take from today is that we weren't kept out on the field for 2 days like we did to them in perth

will be interesting to see if aus go full seamy roads from here on

You can never know as long as Pant is around

They would ideally want to bowl when the floodlights are on aswell so would have to bat for a session and a half atleast and set around 180 - 200

Embarrassing. Batting lineup recessed to the mean again.

Deep should have played - he’ll play next game - at a place where Rana might actually be better.

Also get Shami here STAT please.

I think the most important question of the series, nay Indian cricket's whole future, is "Will NK Reddy become the next Chris Woakes?"
Don't mean to say I told you so, but...

He's averaging 57 with the bat and 25 with the ball.

Putting his career averages thus far at 68 batting, 25 bowling.

For context, prime Garry Sobers couldn't achieve these numbers of the ReddyGoat!

I dont think a single Indian fan is surprised at this result. In fact, the real surprise was we were able to cobble together a decent innings in Perth, of all places, in the second innings there. This line up does not have it in them to make more than 200 anywhere anytime. I know the Aussie batting is just as prone to lollapses but they are hit or miss, while we are just always miss. :(

should we lose tomorrow instead of pushing things into day 4 so that bumrah gets two more days off before 3rd test

I mean, Head’s a better player now than he was before Rohit became captain

or has Rohit being Captain made Head better than he was previously?

Hmmmmm

interesting

Pant + Reddy will be a good combination for India going forward. Could become their version of Rizwan and Agha.

Time for Selectors to remove Rohit as a captain. If they can’t do this , we are in for a massive shellacking in the remaining series.

Looking through this thread, I'm seeing skepticism ascribed towards the savior of Indian cricket (nay Test cricket as a sport!), NK Reddy.

I find everyone's lack of faith disturbing. Obviously he's a young player whose role is settling in, but one would have imagined he would get more opportunity this Test than his severe underutilization, especially after his heroic debut performance of the 1st Test.

As is, Not Outs severely deflating his batting average, and underbowling artificially suppressing his bowling WPM. :(
