I just don't think anyone had seen him play much, because he hasn't played much.

I watched a bit of him playing in that T20 series against Australia a few months ago and he was impressive then, not surprised he is doing well here.

He is the sort of attacking batsman that McCullum likes so as I said before I can see him sticking around in this England team, more so than Crawley.
