**Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

Ashwin has been batting in the nets. Even getting throw down session from Gambhir all of a sudden. He is very likely to play. Let's not forget his decent record in Adelaide, including with the pink ball.

Akash Deep has been menacing with this ball in the nets so they might lean towards him over Rana.

So this is all based on visuals from net sessions. But they might make the final call only tomorrow after assessing the final conditions

There's a good chance India's going to get thrashed in this Test given their lack of experience with the pink ball. And I am travelling from tomorrow so fortunately or unfortunately I won't be able to follow some of the match.

And it looks like batting first is a big advantage here in a pink ball test. So Toss may prove to be decisive.

We will miss your pessimism :(

If they are playing Ashwin, then no need to play Sundar . Play both Jadeja and Ashwin.

The choice should really be between Jadeja and Ashwin. Not much of a debate either IMO. With the seamers in decent form, the concern still is shoring up the batting. Jadeja and Sundar should be the obvious picks in that scenario.

I would replace all of Rana, NKR and Washy with Akashdeep, Ash and Jaddu.

Wont matter though as our batting sucks balls and we will be trashed here.
If India bat first and have a poor start , then they should try to score around 220 runs in 60 overs . Give Aussies 30 overs to bat under lights

Interesting. The line has moved slightly more towards Australia. I would have thought it would move more towards India as more betting from India came in but it has gone the other way. Interesting. Aussies paying 1.71 now.

That's the worst thing about Australian cricket right now though, why isn't Labuschagne being dropped even on the table after his continuous decline and lack of double digit scores?
It frustrates me when people are like 'there's no better options' when I wonder if any Shield batsman averaging over 35 might do better.

My only concern at all with dropping him atm is that he's by far and away our best fielder and the fielding standard of this side has really slipped over the past couple of years.

A great day to be an cricket follower in Australia. NZ v ENG starting early, AUS v IND for the middle of the day and SA v SL to cover the night with a full round of shield in between to ensure there's always something on.
If Ind vs Aus enters third day and SA vs SL enters fourth day, we will be having 24 hours of non-stop test cricket on this Sunday.

3:30 am NZ vs England
9:30 am India vs Australia
2:00 pm SA vs SL
7:00 pm WI vs Bangladesh

Is it a good idea feeding any top-order rookie to Bumrah in this form against the pink ball no less? I get the argument against Marnus but at least he's faced him before and hopefully knows what has to be done even though he's been unable to implement it so far.. I'd bet on him scratching out an ugly 50 over some some awestruck debootant. All assuming there is a likely candidate.
