If you could pick just one for your ODI team
Shakib obviously.I'm not sure there's anyone I'd take over Flintoff in ODIs.
No.Shakib obviously.
You are a bad man.
Cairns?I'm not sure there's anyone I'd take over Flintoff in ODIs.
Only Kapil and Pollock from this bunch.Cairns?
Symonds?
Pollock?
Kapil?
Watson?
I'd definitely take him ahead of Cairns and Symonds. The others are closer and more in his league.Cairns?
Symonds?
Pollock?
Kapil?
Watson?
Pollock could easily replace him one for one.I'm not sure there's anyone I'd take over Flintoff in ODIs.
Symonds and Watson are more in batting allrounder category. Angelo Mathews and Kaliis fits nicely in the category too. Kapil and Carins are way more rounded. Flintoff is a bowling all rounder for all purposes. He fits well with Imran and Pollock.Cairns?
Symonds?
Pollock?
Kapil?
Watson?
I think Flintoff and Pollock are the best two ODI cricketers of all time. I'm definitely not "sure" I'd replace one with the other.Pollock could easily replace him one for one.
I'd put Jayasuriya there too. Impactful performances in wining matches with bat, ball or in the field.I think Flintoff and Pollock are the best two ODI cricketers of all time. I'm definitely not "sure" I'd replace one with the other.
Isn't that a stretch?I think Flintoff and Pollock are the best two ODI cricketers of all time. I'm definitely not "sure" I'd replace one with the other.
It is.Isn't that a stretch?
He would still be there for me, along with Viv, Kohli and ABD. I would rate Murali, Garner and Kapil just as high, if not higher. It is.
Jayasuriya, MS Dhoni, Gilchrist and Pollock are the top four dogs for me in ODIs. Tendulkar is there and there abouts, but his absolute disaster as a captain pulls him down.
He could have averaged 50 @ 125 and he still wasn't getting us into a semi-final on the basis that it's a team gameWorld Cup ODIs are by far the most important.
Flintoff averaged 18.78 in World Cups with the bat at a s/r of 67 and never got England into a semifinal. He also wasn't an elite fielder like some ODI all-rounders. He was a fine bowler, but didn't offer enough the bat.
