The aggregate of top 4 for Australia in this match (29) is the worst ever for Australia [With everyone getting to bat in both innings].

Among all teams it's the second worst in history of test cricket, just 1 better than what WI managed vs SL in 2018/19.

People confuse his form in India with overseas form.

Averages 37 in India, 26 overseas. Was even good in SA this year.
I can't say that I've watched too many of his games in India, but he appears to pick up a reasonable spread of wickets, even if not prolifically. It also strikes me as a little harsh to judge him on his record in India when many pitches there are far more designed for spin.

Congratulations India. Thoroughly outplayed us in all facets of the game. It says a lot about how we were dominated that in the second innings I thought we were going well at one stage, and then I realised we were about 200/8. Still a **** score.

Honestly my guess is Australia's XI will be something like:

Khawaja
McSweeney
Smith
Head
Inglis
Marsh
Carey(wk)
Cummins(c)
Hazlewood
Boland
Lyon

What I would really prefer is Davies and Morris instead of Inglis and Boland but we seem to be in a period where management has a fixed idea of who the "next best batter/bowler" is. To be fair the kind of Adelaide D/N pitch may suit Boland.
Dropping Starc for the next match would be insanity

He is good when there is something in the wicket. When he is on he is absolutely on like in cape town test but when he isn't he is crap

Australia shouldn't drop anyone in the 2nd test however, if Labuschagne and Mcsweeneny keep failing it should be them. Where's nobody close to the big 3 quality of bowling in Australia. And Labuschagne still miles better than the next best batsman who only average in the 30s!.

All these years Marnus and Steve Smith were yelling 'No Run' ! to the universe now seems like foreshadowing. Now there really isn't any runs for the pair.

India is trying to bridge the home/away disparity in the record which has been a historical issue and left question marks over the team's ability as travelers. This is why we conceded 0-3 to NZ and now winning against Aussies.

How can you keep the same attack when together they’ve only won a single test match against India in the last 7 of them at home? You have to drop Lyon, Starc and Haze at the very least.
Absolutely, and once you drop these 3 - Cummins also must go being their leader.

Pacers also do well in India but he doesn't really have those attributes (pace, reverse swing etc)

Shami, Bumrah, Umesh have done well.

Kind of like Umesh in reverse.

If one of Shami or Bumrah wasn't injured all the time don't think he would have gotten to play.

You have been blessed with Bumrah and Shami for sure. By far the best pace pair you have had, when others had promise but no real consistency in the past. Not going to say that Siraj is at their level, but he is respectable enough, and appears to be a decent pick away from home, as his record suggests.

Well Starc has historically been poo vs India. Without checking, I wouldn't be all that surprised if his career average against them is over 50. But you can't drop them for a day nighter
