I am not exactly sure how to define talent.

If it means who made batting look ridiculously easy, it is Abraham Benjamin DeVilliers and Brian Charles Lara.

Viv most talented cause of his freakish hand eye coordination and pure destructiveness, unmatched by anyone even ABD. I mean the guy could pummel peak Lillee in Aus, Imran in the SC, score a 4th innings ton on a breaking pitch, and handle peak Botham and Willis easily. Lara and ABd close second tho.

Lara, ABD and Viv all have super reflexes, timing and great eye sight (early career Lara).

What sets Viv slightly ahead is that he had sheer muscle power along with that.

I also rate KP super high on talent. He has a creativity to his batting that is unique.

Actually think Babar in terms of talent was a smidge ahead of Kohli but lacks his sheer determination.

Despite being the most accomplished batsman and with an almost perfect record, I am surprised Sachin is not rated as the highest or even Top 3.

I saw his debut series against England and was thought he was the perfect batsman. Everything about him was so good - The casual walk to the crease, the swag in his batting, the arrogance in his looks, disdain he had for bowler backed by outrageous shots. I rate ABD and Lara higher but I wished they showed more of “I am good and I know it” attitude of Kevin Pietersen. On his day an absolute delight to watch.

Sachin is massively talented and only marginally behind Viv/Lara/ABD, but what made so special was he was more hardworking and determined
