Viv is pretty undisputed GOAT in One DaysSachin > Viv > AbdV
That's more of a plus for him, the game has constantly been tailored toward being more batter friendly, like today people averaging 55 aren't rated anywhere near 42 avg of yesterday in ODI.Viv played one day cricket at its infancy. He was the undisputed best back then but I rate Sachin higher for his consistency and longevity.
Viv, Abbas and Kapil wouldn't be Anomalies in 90s.That's more of a plus for him, the game has constantly been tailored toward being more batter friendly, like today people averaging 55 aren't rated anywhere near 42 avg of yesterday in ODI.
They probably would beViv, Abbas and Kapil wouldn't be Anomalies in 90s.
Btw Sachin was Anomaly among openers until 96 WC. He was striking at 94 and 2nd best Jayasuriya was striking at 78.
Sachin had to control his game unlike Viv, because he was the only Match winner in his team.Sachin was doing triple duty of Anchor, accumulator and Attacker.
There wouldn't be average difference between Viv and Sachin if we exclude Sachin's teenage years. The difference between Pre 96 WC era and Post 96 WC is not avg, its Strike rate. And Sachin was averaging close to 50 at 94 SR as opener until 96 WC. Then Suddenly everyone started scoring quickly and Sachin become just elite category from Anomaly. Same would happen to Viv or Abbas or Kapil if they were playing in 90s. I dont think Kapil's SR would have been 140 in 90s...may be 110. Afridi was below 100 in 90s.They probably would be
90s became easier for batting, Viv could anchor and Viv could accumulate but at the end all that matters is the runs and Viv averaged higher and played faster in the tougher era, his output would be > anyone in 90s and his SR would be >> so Yeah, Viv is the ODI GOAT.
I'm fine with Viv striking at 110 lol, his and Kapil SR is virtually the same, and Yeah Jaya impacted ODI batting. There wouldn't be average difference between Viv and Sachin if we exclude Sachin's teenage years. If he played tests today then I don't know who is anywhere near as good as him in this decade, Root is by far the best of this decade and he is way off, he'll stand out even more as there won't be 4-5 ATGs and a bunch of ATVGs to play with, like two at most.If Viv Richards played in the 1990s or today, he would not really stand out like he did in the 1980s
So ABD?ODI, he'd just be Virat with 10-20 higher SR.
Thats AB or Sachin minus longevity.ODI, he'd just be Virat with 10-20 higher SR.
he'd average a bit higher but that's not too far, No way he is averaging less than Babar bumass Azam for exampleSo ABD?
even equalising eras Sachin doesn't get to Virat avg bruhThats AB or Sachin minus longevity.
Lol.I'm fine with Viv striking at 110 lol, his and Kapil SR is virtually the same, and Yeah Jaya impacted ODI batting.
When i adjusted stats for their eras ( peak 10 years or something i dont remember now )even equalising eras Sachin doesn't get to Virat avg bruh
