Flower averages 53.7 as a wicket keeper.Everyone who saw Flower doesn't rate him much, Gilly just gives you more, he averages 47 to Flower's 51,
That’s partly because he played for the most successful team in cricket history with Top 3 fast bowler, Top 2 spinner, Top 10 opener, Top 15 batsman and the fastest bowler among others.strikes at Sehwag esque speeds, it's really a no brainer.
ABD was wk for just 24 out of 115 tests he played.ABD has a very small sample size though for keeping.
What does any of that have to do with his wicket-keeping skill?Flower averages 53.7 as a wicket keeper.

I rate Flower much higher because he played in a very weak team where he was the only world class cricketer and the next best batsman averaged half of him.
Why has he never made an All Time XI, never mentioned as a contender for one. Never mentioned in discussions for greatest keeper batsmen.Andy’s wicket keeping skills are good
Andy able to average 53 as a wk despite having many disadvantages is a testament to his batting ability
Which contemporary keeper do you feel is similar to Andy Flower? What does any of that have to do with his wicket-keeping skill?

I am fairly certain none of us here throughly analysed Flower or Gilly for their keeping. As far as I remember, both were were not bad keepers. That’s about it. We watched Adam Gilchrist for his destructive ability and Andy Flower for keeping the hopes of his team alive.I was listening to Jarrod Kimber who said Flower was a better keeper than Gilly. Is that true? I have no recollection.
God no.I was listening to Jarrod Kimber who said Flower was a better keeper than Gilly. Is that true? I have no recollection.
No, I actually watched Gilly for his keeping. The same way I watched Healy, and Dujon, Jayawardene and Russell etc etc...I am fairly certain none of us here throughly analysed Flower or Gilly for their keeping.
