**Official** 1st Test @ Perth, 22nd-26th November

Has to mean something that Australian fans clearly know their XI was locked in a week out from the game, while Indian fans still don't seem to have a clue who their XI will be 😀

To be fair, what would Australia do if Khawaja's Missus had a baby, Marnus broke a thumb and Hazlewood was returning from a long term injury?

Aussies like Head and Marsh have planned their babies before the test series and Aussie bats don't break thumbs because of some WACA bounce they cant handle. Plus who's the India pace bowler in the squad returning from long term injury?

Baby planning....Weren't they in NZ 9 months ago???

I'm thinking Shami would've been part of a full strength side but not fit enough to make this squad.

Shami sounds like an excuse for why India don't win. He hasn't played a Test in 17 months so hardly a new inconvenience to name a Test XI
Maybe not, but Australia have had enough trouble picking one opener which they knew they needed to replace 6 months ago.

Better than having an opener who decided their baby naming ceremony is more important than captaining their country in a test match. Then again he hasn't scored any runs for ages so side is probably stronger without him 😉
Rohit missing is idiotic. For folks who dont know sunil gavaskar son was born during india tour of wi. From there he went to nz to play 3 matches. he still played instead of going back you can hate gavaskar but unilke kohli or rohit you cant dobut his commitment to game and country

You do realize there are cultural issues here, don't you? Or do you just think everyone should live by your rules?

Let me assure you no indian fan will make excuses this series esp about shami. All we are saying team would be stronger with him and game would be much tighter
It would be a loss if we had like a very good and in-form side and only the 2nd/3rd seamer was a relative weakness. We are gonna be beaten 5-0 here so Shami being there or not is of no difference, really.

It's a load of bull anyway. Head just missed ODI's for a birth, guarantee he'd have done the same had it clashed with a Test....as he should too btw.
It's not a load of bull though. They aren't, with all due respect, operating check outs in supermarkets here, or any other role where someone else can come in and perform at the same level in the specific role they perform.
