As i said jadeja has bowling average of 21 and batting average of 40 in Australia. This tho with spicy pitches we might not require his bowling bar scg but his batting which is crucial

Small sample though. I don't think they trust his batting in Perth. It's expected to be hard and green. With the ball, I think Ashwin is past his best but his credentials from the previous tour (got Smith 3 times for instance) were always going to be accounted for. And Ashwin (and Sundar/Kuldeep) is Jadeja's competition because India are fixated on 4 seamers outside Asia.

Yeah.. the one occasion where I think its an obvious decision to not play Ash and they play him after so many ****ing games when he should have played and did not.

Ashwin should not be playing -in Perth in particular.
I won't be able to watch much of the 1st Test as I am travelling but it's good in a way as India is going to get hammered.
