Any proof of him actually being super fast? It is quite normal for bowlers to praise their friends and colleagues

TA Sekhar was called the fastest bowler in the world by Kris Srikanth in 1983 and even Holding said he was as quick as the WI pacers back then
He did have Lara ages late on him to start with. But the best would be New Zealanders. He played an A tour, and allegedly had been clocked at 101mph by an unofficial speed gun. He did destroy the NZ A team. But he had never been measured before his injury.

Fastest deliveries in IPL history:-
Shaun Tait= 157.71 kmph
Lockie Ferguson= 157.3 kmph
Umran Malik= 157.0 kmph
Mayank Yadav= 156.7 kmph
Anrich Nortje= 156.22 kmph

Not sure whether they count or not.
Judging fastest bowler should be Test only imo. How can you compare someone letting it rip for only 4 overs in T20 vs someone that was conserving energy to bowl a 5 day test match of maybe 40-50 overs (and never played a T20)

Ridiculous. The Schultz legend is just that. He was quick but no more than 145 to late 140s at best. Zahid was slippery but he only had that one day series in Aus as his peak. He was already down a notch in that shitty Sahara Cup in Toronto the year after.

Oh he was as quick as Donald in 93 tour to SL.

Zahid was fastest in his previous tor to NZ for A tour. Then developed stress fractures, bowled with it for 12 months and then broke down.

I mean, yes, some drunk fatass being dismissive of a late 140s bowler is horrendous. Schultz was brilliant and I was bummed when he stopped playing but whatever, he's not up there with Akhtar and Lee.

Zahid had a beautiful, liquid-like action. Just flowed through the crease.

Lol, if you think any bowler is "conserving energy" when they're clocking anything close to 160 or even higher in any format of the game.

Thommo hit 100 mph way earlier. Tyson probably bowled as fast as anyone right now. Tbh Don’t think the threshold has been reached, there just haven’t been super express quicks.
It's very difficult to know how fast Tyson was. Impossible really. He was clearly a good bowler though. Thomson was likely express but it's unlikely he was notably faster than Shoaib and thus probably didn't breach the threshold that continues to stand today.

Shoaib was no faster than Thommo too. Thommo did breach the 160 kmph barrier in those limited scenarios. Shoaib barely crossed that despite being recorded for his entire career.

We don't know for definite. Thomson himself also had a closely concentrated speed peak. Not his fault but if he was recorded for his entire career, he likely wouldn't have been hitting his career best speeds for several years.
