bowlers like bumrah and garner use freakish physical attributes to leave batters clueless

garner had freakish height

bumrah has weird hyper extension while also thinking like a spinner while bowling 150kmph (a few years back at least)

i prefer bumrah

If it is pure stats by average, I would rank him in Top 5 or even Top 3.

Garner was never the main bowler in his lineup and always played second fiddle to Holding and then Marshall. That’s why hesitant to rank him in my Top 10.

Lillee has quite a few holes in his record. Like barely playing outside Aus/Eng/NZ. His record against Pakistan is just poor(Avg of 30 in 17 Tests).

Joel Garner’s record is more rounded and almost perfect but he was more of a supporting act and played the role to absolute perfection.

Lillee's average against Pakistan is skewed by his 1 series in Pakistan, but also because he mostly faced a Pakistan batting line up that was pretty decent. He faced arguably the best Pakistan lineups in our history.

Mudassar Nazar, Majid Khan, Javed Miandad, Mushtaq Mohammad. Except for Miandad, none of them were ATGs, but they were all pretty dependable and you wouldn't expect them to collapse in a heap at the first sign of pressure.

Um Garner averages 19 in Pakistan. Still awesome. Don't mind me, just being nitpicking. Damn, I never realised how good he was outside of the WI.
