When people think of the greatest team ever, they are thinking of the WI team of the quartet of the late 70s and early 80s, not the one with Marshall in 1988. At least I do.
I think most people actually just push Marshall in the quartet and think of the WI team that played 6 matches in '83...... But your point stands, as that's a wrong idea.

That's you prerogative Smali, but the team was at its absolute peak in '84 even though Lloyd was on the brink of retirement and maintained that level till about '87 / '88.

Pretty sure we had this discussion in another thread, but again, you're free to see it from your perspective.

Absolute peak means that post 84 it was downhill?

I probably rate Lille higher than you do, and right there with Imran, Donald, Wasim, O'Reilly, and I understand what you're saying, but it wasn't because he was an asshole on the pitch.

That's all I'm saying.
Lillee's aggro approach definitely was transformative for cricket
