Yeah I don't know if he just bowled way quicker in the Shield that one season but he's looked Cummins/Hazlewood pace whenever I've watched him since.I have never seen Morris bowl genuinely quickly
He’s quick enough but not express & not as advertised by some
Guy like Meredith is really rapid and has a yard on him from what I have seen
Morris is a very poor fielder by Aus standards, but the selectors do love him.Poor drop. Would have gotten there comfortably had he moved forward immediately
Yeah been a junk spell thisDermo bowling rubbish
He was working into a decent spell at Manuka when he crocked his side. Though considering Cummins bowls mid-high 130s and Haze mid 130s I'd still put him as faster than them. He seems to need a few overs to hit his top pace, and I think he could try running in faster.Yeah I don't know if he just bowled way quicker in the Shield that one season but he's looked Cummins/Hazlewood pace whenever I've watched him since.

I'm not thrilled at the lack of really quick bowlers at the moment, though not usually needed for tests it's good to have a bowler who can bowl high 140s to call upon if needed. Meredith is the only one who can ATM and he's always injured.
I'll let him know at the next branch meeting. Now if only Inglis listened to CW and opened with Morris instead of Stoinis...
But Test cricket hasn't been this exciting in a long time and that's the most important aspect of the sport , teams competing overseas , fewer draws , great batting and bowling performances , huge upsets..I think the game is in good healthI've fallen almost completely out of love with cricket over the past 5 or so years... this Australian team isn't helping things.
Two of our more successful bowlers in Dennis Lillee and Ray Lindwall haven't exactly been tall (yes I know Lindwall was a long time ago), and I think Richardson could have been pretty handy without the injuries. If someone figures out how to take wickets here I think that's more important than if they're skiddy or not. All the Pakistan bowlers are skiddy (even Shaheen because of his low release point).Cummins can still crank it up when he wants to[/cricket]
People say that I don't really see it. I would have been useful in the Ashes.
[cricket]Thing that I don’t like about Morris is that he’s a skidder and that’s generally not optimal in Australia
Johnson looks far more difficult to face for a number of reasons including the bounce
