*Official* Pakistan in Australia 2024 (white ball tour)

I actually think the selection for this series and especially this game is bordering on "merits a refund" territory. McGurk, Short, Hardie at #3 and Marcus Stoinis is just not a serious attempt at an international top order. Genuine joke that CA think they can charge full price for that.

Yep it's pretty embarrassing knowing you only ever have to use 4 bowlers 😞
Not surprising when you pit a batting order that looks like it was thrown hastily together for a tour game up against an international standard attack. Warner or Ponting in their prime woulda smashed this attack to all corners.

Seeing as this is last ODI before Champions Trophy, I hope they've at least used this series to draw a line through McGurk (and Stoinis) and know they need to bat Inglis at 6-7

I also think Hardie and Maxwell have done nothing to ensure their CT selection
We have a one-off ODI in Sri Lanka next year

No Oz batsman reached 50 in the series and they couldn't bat more than 35 overs in the final two matches; statistically this would be up there with Australia's worst batting in any ODI series.

Australia bowled out for 140, worse than the last match where they were bowled out for 163, they need to find some batsmen that can bat for 50 overs.

Picking a bunch of Big Bash T20 cowboys isn't working out too well for them.

Hard to reach 50 overs when there wasn't one innings that lasted 50 deliveries in the entire series!

It must be awful for other nations seeing Aus routinely put in absolute shower of **** performances in jamodis for 3 years at a time then rock up, flick the switch to vaudeville and win WCs in a canter.

Long may it continue

“Chance to look at the next generation of Australian cricket here” says Mike Hussey as 35 year old Marcus Stoinis runs in to bowl

Isn't Lance Morris supposed to be the fastest bowler in Australia and Perth the fastest pitch but we open with Stoinis instead...

Stoinis doesn't need to bowl at all as Aus will only get 30 overs to bowl. New captain Inglis learned nothing from Pakistan ignoring the 5th bowler

The contrast between the Pakistani bowlers, Hussey, is that they're fast and good and Stoinis is a mediocre trundler.

Stoinis barely even bowls for the Melbourne Stars yet he is opening the bowling instead of a specialist fast bowler like Morris.

If this was Pakistan you would be questioning whether they were match fixing, Pakistan seem like the only team trying to win.

We went through a whole thing with Stoinis opening the bowling in the months leading up to the 2023 WC.

And then we dropped Stoinis from the team, won the WC and thought Stoinis was done
