1.ODI WCFor your team, how would you rank the below trophies, including both LOI and Tests together.
ODI WC, T20 WC, ICC Champions Trophy.
WTC, Series wins in difficult touring countries of Aus/Eng/Ind/SA
It's hard to rate ashes alongside other trophies. And WTC>T20 WC.Ashes

WTC leaves me cold

Rest seems fine.
Doesn't matter. My team is equally strong in all of themNever. My Colony's cricket tournament>>>> WTC
This but the first 2 swapped. Ever since I was a kid the World Cup was THE thing in cricket. Ashes have been mostly one-sided Aussie victories for the last 35 years.Ashes

There wouldn’t be international cricket if it wasn’t for the Ashes. It’s the most important and storied trophy in the sport. It's hard to rate ashes alongside other trophies. And WTC>T20 WC.

Tbf they give out trophies for everything else at the end of every test in India, they may as well add this.ODI World Cup

You would be happier to win against Aus away than winning against NZ at home. But will you be more sad losing to Aus away (about to happen) than losing to NZ at home (already happened)? I question this home/away and strong/weak team distinction. I understand arch rival priority though like AUS vs ENG or IND vs PAK.Aus/eng away

Yeah. That's why it's hard to rank alongside other trophies. It's a league of its own. There wouldn’t be international cricket if it wasn’t for the Ashes. It’s the most important and storied trophy in the sport.
I think it's different when you have already won a WC before or not.Only speaking for myself, but imo, India losing the WC final felt way worse than losing series away in Eng/Aus, but winning test series there (especially Aus) felt better than India winning the WC. So, I can understand people ranking the top 2 in any order. A lot of it is contextual though. Every Indian test fans was convinced winning in Australia was never happening in our lifetimes, which is what made 2019 (to a lesser extent) and 2021 (due to the manner of it happening) special. 2023 WC final was depressing but India have a realistic shot at winning the tournament basically every time.
I think the Q is about how much you would value a win for your country in each tournament, and the Ashes is top of that pile for me.This but the first 2 swapped. Ever since I was a kid the World Cup was THE thing in cricket. Ashes have been mostly one-sided Aussie victories for the last 35 years.
Reckon the World Cup is losing it's status though. The downfall of ODIs and T20s diluting white ball cricket will reduce the lustre. IMO 2023 will be the last one to have that feel about it.
