Honestly for a finger spinner, 36 isn't that old. Definitely a few years left in him for sure, especially given he'd still be dog hungry for games.
Agreed, but i doubt NZ are touring this part of the world for a while. If he had a bad game here I think that might have been it for him. He really needed this.

B-G is going to be one for the sports psychologists for both teams.
Didn't realize you will need one for winning. :p

But this is NZ's moment. Our post-mortem can wait at least a few hours. Well done and congrats to NZ fans here. Well deserved and well played. Put us under the most consistent pressure any team has done since England 2012 and did not give it away at the points when they could have wilted. They were just mentally stronger and that sealed the deal, for me.

Legit though, where does this series rank in the all time test upsets? Whitewashing a team on a streak comparable to peak Australia and Windies at full strength while your missing kane, bracewell, and santner after the second test is unreal.

It's #1 to win 3-0. Absolutely incredible

Definitely one of the great feats in test cricket. In the conversation for top 5 and its really mostly personal preference at that point. ATG performance for sure.

Who would have thought the secret to not just beating india at home, but white washing them, was losing your countries greatest test batsmen before the series started and relying on ashton agar 2.0 and a keeper turned part timer as your second spinner. Unreal stuff.
Jamieson too, who was a huge part of drawing the first test last series in India. And we lost Henry and Santner to injury for a match. And we missed numerous chances in the field. It's an amazing series victory. Completely bemusing. But amazing.

India can't say they didn't see this coming or were surprised by this result tbh - though obviously no one saw this coming for NZ given where they were just a month ago and the general opinion of their spin stocks before this series. People here have been raising the five alarm fire about India's batting for ages, though I feel their bowling has underperformed here too, which is actually just as alarming IMO. But like every Indian poster here has been saying "uhhh this is no good" for like three years and it became obvious during that Aus series that India were absolutely gettable last year by what was a frankly pretty average Australian side. England picked a frankly joke attack and that might have papered over some cracks earlier this year, NZ have not been so generous.
