Whatever it takes!!!
As I've said before, not many blokes out there that can take the new ball and get you a hundred at Test Level. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

But seriously, very happy for Mulder. Very few real allround talents emerging for the next gen and he is one with perhaps the most expectations. Hopefully he goes from strength to strength. All the best to him.

2nd time in history 3 batsmen made their maiden century in the same innings supposedly. Last time was 1948.

😁

In world cricket now who are the burgeoning seamer ARs?

Him & Green?

Marco J too.

No disrespect to Jadeja, Ashwin or Sundar mate. Yes they can all bowl with a new ball. I should have specified seam bowling allrounder.
haha.. I understood the first post and that was a tongue in cheek answer.

But I didn't realize you were asking about seam bowling allrounders in the second post. I dont think there are many, actually, for the longer format. Almost all potentially good ones coming through seem to be spinners, lol.

Honestly a team like Bangladesh would benefit greatly from a batter who can bowl some seam. I guess Soumya Sarkar is around but he is very much part time as a bowler. I heard Pandya is giving FC cricket another go?

Pathetic batting display as usual. These left handers are no good. Honestly I dont see too many options to replace them. But it got to start from somewhere because this horrible batting display every test cant continue. When bowlers had such rough two days you would expect batsmen to step up their game but they joined the procession.

Hridoy. I dont know what else selectors want to include him in test squad.

Mosaddek. Veteran at NCL level and was discarded way too soon. He could be a handy replacement.

Naeem Islam. Should have given a chance when he was scoring heavily in recent years in domestic.

Yasir Ali Rabbi. Tried and tested but I trust him more than these left handers.

Shamim Hossain. Basically hes more suited to white ball but I think he could become a good batsman at middle order if given chance.

Nurul Hasan. Better than most of the guys that are playing.

Yeah, "I trust him more than these left handers" is a desperately low standard but I'd like to see Hridoy and another chance for Mosaddek.

We discarded Yasir pretty quickly but he did have some shots. @cnerd123 met him the other day. No doubt he can weigh in on this.

Why not enforce follow on ?
Because unless there is a race against time , there isn't much value in enforcing a follow on ..

Say we ask Bangladesh to follow on and they put up a fight in the second innings where they last 100+ overs , that means we would have subjected our team in super hot conditions to 100 overs + whatever Bangladesh lasted in the first innings back to back , for a match your dominating it don't make sense to me ..Rather dimiss a team , have a fun 20-30 over blitzkrieg where the bowlers can freshen up , and then the bowlers have +-180 overs to get a win.

And enforcing the follow on also means that we'd potentially be batting last, which isn't ideal if the pitch deteriorates dramatically and starts taking turn.

Mosaddek Hossain's case is really weird.
He has the highest fc average out of any batter yet has barely gotten any chances in tests.
For some absurd reason he was forced to become a no.8 spin bowling all rounder in white ball.
