*OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

Tough wicket already but 4 out of 5 dismissal shots weren't good.
I mean that Duckett ball was no good at all but apart from that it's been a pretty unremarkable slow turner. That one wicket aside, none of the other batsmen should be looking at the pitch so much as they are looking at a mirror if they're looking to pin blame for their dismissals - even Root was mostly down to his own slight error in judgement more than wild misbehaviour from the pitch.
Yep both nailed it. Was the same in the last test too.

Yet in our batsman heads they've played on the two most unplayable decks in history.

You had blamed the toss a lot in the previous match for England's loss though apparently being a much superior side to Pakistan. Now that they have won the toss, if they don't win this match, you need to accept that they are clearly inferior to Pakistan.
I don't remember a ball running along the ground before Lunch on Day 1 in the last Test. On turning tracks, England (bar Root) are largely inferior to everyone. But it didn't turn for nearly 2 days in the 2nd Test.

Duckett and Root are both great players of spin, Crawley I'm suspect of, Brook has been inconsistent against turn, Stokes is just terrible. Don't get me started on Pope.

Yeah we needed one of Duckett or Root to go big. There's not much else against actual spin in this lineup.

I don't think Pak will score a lot either on this wicket either so I'm not worried, I think 200 is fine on this wicket.

That’s rubbish from Stokes, reaching for it.

The usual mind scramble from England on an actual turning pitch. Disappointing but we can’t hide from the shortcomings.

Entire middle order collapses in half a session.

Is Sajid this good or are England assisting him a little bit?

I'm still giving Stokes the benefit of the doubt outside Asia (averages 42 there since he became captain) but he needs his bowling in these conditions or there are serious questions marks because he's pretty much a no8 in Asia.

If he was this good presumably he wouldn't have been a panic selection after a First Test mauling. He's certainly got a helpful pitch, but England are surely making him look better than he really is.

I don't get it , if the plan was to use two bowlers, why not include more batting all rounders like Shadab Khan or an extra batter
