I’d have thought the only England fans turning up were the ones who were on hols there anyway. Barmy Army more likely to be seen in NZ or saving up for Ashes.
It’s fun either way when the Kensington Oval transforms into an England home venue

The homecoming of Jacob Bethell will be one of intrigue.

I'm pretty sure Rehan Ahmed will join this series as I'd be amazed if he gets to tour NZ. Of the other test players, who knows, possibly Carse? But after his excellent and far from a*** two tests in Pakistan, surely they would want him for extra zip in NZ?
Rehan can't join this series since he is part of third test XI.

Well he would struggle to get there for the first two games as the series is scheduled to finish on Monday, but an earlier post suggested that there were two players going from the test squad from Pakistan to the West Indies tour rather than to New Zealand. I was going by a bit of a process of elimination as I would be surprised if any of the top 6 batters would not be going to NZ. Then of the bowlers, I would be surprised if any of the pace bowlers used in the series would drop out, possibly with the exception of Carse. Whom else from the current squad in Pakistan might be released? As others suggested earlier in the thread, it is hardly not the done thing for players to fly straight from one series to another but this is not going to be for those selected for the NZ test tour.

Edit - I forgot Olly Stone was on the Pakistan tour as he went home to get married. Perhaps he might be added to the white ball squad, although he seems a rather daft pick given he doesn't really have much of a record in those forms of the game.

England’s schedule this winter is fully ridiculous but I’m selfishly glad about it as there’s cricket to be interested in all the way through to next season starting
Although I've watched a certain amount of the Pakistan series, not having TNT, and not really able to do overnights too well, I'm not going to bother with the NZ series. Might watch a bit of the Windies games in pubs of my knowledge that do show the cricket. A pub fairly near me certainly has a cricket friendly landlord.....

Surprised as Stone has pace - what else is needed?
They have Archer, Saqib Mahmood, Turner and Topley in the pace/seam bracket with Sam Curran and the medium paced all-rounder although I thought that the latter should be nowhere near the 50 over team for some time.

The squads a bit of a mess. Far too many spinners and not enough batsman.

Going to have a few playing in wrong position and one too many all rounders.

Something like this at a guess for the ODI's. Hain should be in the side!

Salt
Pepper
Jacks
Cox
Livingstone
Bethell/Mousley
Curran
Rehan
Rashid
Archer
Topley/Turner

why is jamie overton there?

the ongoing omission of hain to accommodate vibes picks is silly

rehan bowled well last west indies white ball tour from memory so makes sense to call him in

That is a side that has a high chance of being bowled out for a 100.

Sometimes I think it's best to forget about England until Stokes and Baz quit.

I really don't know why they are still persisting with Walsh Jr.
