I know modern teams are sensitive, but I reckon the batting group deserve a good telling off from the bowlers ..
The West Indies was the same story. Had Piedt and Burger not put on a decent partnership in one of the Test matches we would have not won the series. Bowlers are constantly asked to both win and save the Test matches home and away , it's ridiculous

Yeah it is critical that both Mulder and Verreynne take their own time and bat long, ideally both hitting centuries. You can then look for an innings win without worrying about the fourth innings.

Based on what I heard at the time from South Africans I knew IRL and online, he was actually the greatest bowler who has ever lived.

He had the potential to be as good as Donald, showed it all. Unfortunately his body gave out on him. He was one of the most natural looking fast bowlers I have ever watched.

Taijul Islam definitely has one of the biggest discrepancies between home and away of any bowler with 200+ wickets. Over 20 fewer runs paid for each of his home scalps, and over 80% of the overall total.
I don't intend this as criticism, just a notable feature. It's pretty much the same record as Abdul Qadir, who I think takes the record with a home average 20.76 runs better than his away one.
I think that's the biggest gap - though I haven't checked them all.
