I would love to see Ricciardo kill it in Indy Cars but I just read where he said at 35 maybe he just doesn't have it anymore to race week in week out

Apparently he’s also just not keen on oval racing either.

Like Grosjean. What is it with F1 drivers not wanting to do ovals?
Mm, I guess its inherently more dangerous and perhaps more stressful on the body (unsure of this).

Or maybe Danny’s got the old Aussie “turning left is boring” idea.

Gutted for Danny to go out the way he did but it's not the end. Come to Indy or Supercars bro.
I could see him in WEC with all the other ex-F1 drivers too.

(Button, Kobayashi, Buemi, de Vries, Giovanazzi, di Resta, Kubica, Schumacher, Kyvat, Hartley, Stevens, Vandoorne, Vergne)

Well now, that was a very exciting sprint with a lot of action!

Can only hope we’ll see some similar stuff tomorrow!

Mercedes look out of it but Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari could be interesting.

Haas looked very comfortable there over RB and Williams.

And an interesting quali. Unfortunate the last laps got aborted. Lawson looks very fast. Williams pace seemed to go nowhere and Gasly just popped up. (felt bad Hulk screwed that lap in Q2) Hopefully Hamilton from the back should bring some entertainment down there, whilst we have Verstappen vs Norris and the Ferraris at the front. (Piastri just doesn’t seem to be quite in the fight this weekend)

I like that Liam both looks like the villain in a high school movie and has picked a fight with Alonso.
Hahaha its awesome.

Didn’t seem like there was any issues with actual move from what I saw.

Hope Liam puts his head down and just lets his driving do the talking.

Well well well. A lot to unpack there.

Hats off to Ferrari, they were excellent. Verstappen and Norriz was an excellent battle. The penalty is a tough call, nobody likes to see a position decided like that, seeing a huge fight between the two contenders is exactly what we want to see though. Excellent recovery from Russell. Very mediocre from Perez. Solid classic 2024 Hulkenberg drive. Lawson and Colapinto both very impressive. Seemed Colapinto had the edge on the medium tyre and Lawson on the hard early on. Lawson silencing any possible doubters surely, and Colapinto really putting his hand up for that second Sauber seat over Bottas.

Felt bad for Magnussen - he looked quite good up until that point, with such old tyres idk how he would end up against Lawson and Colapinto but I felt the pitstop was a weird call. Sounded urgent though..

Gasly had a slow stop missed by the commentators fsr but even after that, both he and Tsunoda never looked to have the pace to challenge.

rip Alonso, Aston just had no pace in the race

lol @ Hamilton

Colapinto gotta be on the grid next year. He's ****in burying Albon.

After the conservativism of the last silly season, I think it's time to whittle out some guys. Good drivers, but the 35+ year olds coming 16th don't really add much.

Bottas to supercars plz. Don't waste the last of your prime years in a Sauber.

Very pleased for Liam. Reckon he's the 4th best kiwi driver in the world so I didn't have high hopes and still don't but I'll cheer him regardless.

I’d have to see proper replays on the decisions that went forcing another driver off/taking advantage to make a proper judgement. cbf going thru that now tbh

Either way, Verstappen has chosen the inside line round the bend to try and fend off Norris, yet has still ended up outside the track lines himself. How is that remotely acceptable? He's just forcing another driver off as usual and getting away with it. The fact Norris was ahead at the apex to the bend makes it even more daft. The FIA is just a joke than can't be taken seriously.

Just caught up on the race highlights. That Norris penalty was an absolute joke, Verstappen clearly forces him off the track.
