No.29.4 is close enough to 30 imo.
No.29.4 is close enough to 30 imo.
Exactly. So underratedMS Dhoni being totally overlooked.
His face was actually pretty difficult to look atMatt Prior being totally overlooked.
The likes of Matt Prior , Dhoni are in another galaxy when compared to Knott, same applies for Liton Das, De Kock.No.
Also knott has a much much superior away record in more than double number of matches.
Knott averaged like 45 away from home and had really tough home conditions, also miles ahead as a keeperBTW Rizwan is also miles ahead of Alan Knott.
And guess how many times I've used the word "ATG" in my post?Lol at calling Knott an ATG , if he is an ATG then so are 15 more wicketkeepers.
Farokh Engineer also is in a different league, averaged same as Knott and that too while opening the innings.
Chalo Atleast you didn’t call Wasim Bari, Syed Kirmani an ATG.
Then he was shitty at home which is like 50% of the games to end up averaging 30 odd overall.Knott averaged like 45 away from home and had really tough home conditions, also miles ahead as a keeper
Rizwan=Gilchrist then? Then he was shitty at home which is like 50% of the games to end up averaging 30 odd overall.
How is he miles ahead as a keeper, and what does that mean, Rizwan is as safe a keeper as it gets, anything above that is just bonus and not a deciding factor.
Rizwan is not good enough to tie shoelaces of Gilchrist as a batsman.Rizwan=Gilchrist then?
So you say he is good enough if considered as pure WK's?Rizwan is not good enough to tie shoelaces of Gilchrist as a batsman.
Okay, that's good enough for me ig.But yeah if you are saying whether I will swap Gilchrists keeping with Rizwan then yes, there’s hardly much difference there. Not significant enough to help us win more games.
Do you think there is a significant difference there?Okay, that's good enough for me ig.
Yeah.Do you think there is a significant difference there?
oh his home conditions were just awful, consistent with all English players of 60s and 70s who were far better away than at home, while Rizwans bats on proper flat tracks. Then he was shitty at home which is like 50% of the games to end up averaging 30 odd overall.

The context of many of Pant's runs puts him a clear level above at this stage. Rizwan's good but Pant's played some top tier innings in Australia/England/SA in clutch situations too. The one in SA was a genuine ATG level knock, still pissed the rest of the muppets in the team wasted it.Serious question, but is Pant better than Rizwan?? He is very poor against the moving ball.
Fully agree with this. Knott is clearly 2nd best for me.As only a pure wicket keeper better, is Sanga 2nd? Because his batting went down massively while keeping + he only kept in a minority part of his career. As good a batsman as he was, it doesn't feel right keeping him in second
Assuming that you're reading through the whole thread, would like to see your reaction after you're finished.Fully agree with this. Knott is clearly 2nd best for me.
At the end of the day, it's wicketkeeper then batsman.
No it is not, if it was teams would be going with player with better keeping skills instead of batting.Fully agree with this. Knott is clearly 2nd best for me.
