It hadn't happened in first-class cricket until 1989 (WV Raman and Arjan Kripal Singh for Tamil Nadu v Goa). AFAIK it hasn't happened since then.Anyway, it doesn't look as if there have ever been two triple hundreds in the same test innings.

I think you are desensitised to Bazball and not realising just how unique this. Not only was it the fourth highest score of all time, and still resulted in a win on a flat deck after the hosts scored 556, the scoring rate of 5.5 is the fastest by a long way of any test total of 700+. Next is Australia v Zimbabwe in the Hayden 380 innings at 5rpo and then you're looking at rates a run or more slower.

Im not calling for his place in the XI. But just feel Bairstow could've smashed a 200 at a sr of above 100 if he had the chance to play on these pitches.Bairstow had golden opportunity to cement his place in side during brook absence in india series and he failed badly
But yea, it probably would've ended up badly in the long run with him getting more chances

How many test quality left arm wrist spinners are even there apart from Kuldeep?
Saying England are poor against left arm wrist spin cause of Kuldeep is saying that Eng are weak against right arm pace because of Bumrah.
