Road to India in Australia 2024-25

One of my worries with Harris is that even if he does okay with the bat, he'll put down some crucial catch. Australia's collective fielding has not been up to normal standards over the past two years and I don't see him making it better.
This is one reason why if it's a straight shot between Bancroft, Renshaw and Harris I honestly think I prefer Bancroft; the guy is at least a very good close in catcher.

TBF, the Virat instance happened when we were all in lockdown most likely. And nobody knew when, if any, cricket would resume. I suppose with Rohit, given the age of his first kid, it may have been something that worked now after some tries. Honestly, I am uncomfortable trying to pass judgement on personal stuff like this. Its their call and we should respect that always, IMO. It sounds pretty disrespectful to start thinking about when someone can plan a family. I can say that from personal experience that its one of the worst things you can do to anyone.

I just find it funny that the posters who spewed absolute unadulterated (and completely unfair) venom at Virat are hardly saying anything now.
Kohli missed an entire series twice.

Rohit is only missing one match.

I'd somehow never thought about it but it is honestly truly bizarre that they don't plan this out better so this doesn't keep happening during tours. It's not like the FTP is some mystery and the fact of this tour has somehow snuck up on everyone in the last few months, or that pregnancy duration is, like, dice-rolled or something.
Yes, everyone is fortunate enough to conceive as soon as they begin to try having a kid.

He has only missed an entire series once. And in 2020, it was the first time it happened. As I said, it just shows some posters took issue because it was Virat, than the actual thing.
It's because his priorities have clearly changed and his game is not the same.

He has missed 8 marquee Tests in total for these personal reasons. I doubt there is a single player who has missed even more than 2 Tests in total because of this..

You expect couples to plan their *** schedule around the FTP?

You realise getting pregnant is something that can take people months to years to achieve sometimes right? It's not always that simple

Edit: Not me though. I'm incredibly fertile and can time implantation down to the second.
