Why did they use the cricketers’ images in the histogram?I’ve never seen that done before but at least it highlights how Root is miles ahead of every other Test batter at the moment.

That's accounted for in the graph by Root's thighs being included, rather than being shown from the waist up like the others

Maybe the averages tell a better story:
Root 57
Karunaratne 50.6
Khawaja 53.4
Labuschagne 43.7
Smith 44.7
Worth noting that Pope has the same amount of runs as Smith too.
Three best averages in that period are Mendis, Jaiswal and Brook.
From 1 Jan 2021 your averages are off for Root (58.32) Labuschagne (45.10) and Smith (47.07)
Also Pope doesn't have same runs as Smith and are nowhere near comparable
Smith has 34 Tests, 2488 runs @ 47.07
Pope has 37 Tests, 2236 runs @ 33.87

Ah, hadn't changed the 15th Jan to the 1st on the query, so missed out on one Test (Sydney Aus v Ind) where of course Smith and Labu scored heavily. Was wondering why my stats had one less Test on those 2 to yours. Also didn't include Root's latest effort....
You'd think the Statsguru auto latest date would be today's right?
