English Domestic Season 2024

Ben Geddes and Conor McKerr leaving Surrey, the former going to Middlesex apparently.
Alec Stewart: "While I am disappointed to see the pair leave and move to other counties, I fully understand and respect their decisions,"

Promoted Yorkshire must be front runners for McKerr as one of the 4 counties he has been on loan to. Maybe Notts another of the four who need to replace Fletcher and normally sign someone.

Matthew Fisher has signed for Surrey from Yorkshire
Yeah that's been known for a while now. A combination of Atkinson playing for England, Roach getting on a bit and Lawes not quite kicking on as expected.

EDIT
I should have added the possibility of Worrall playing for England next season too.

Worrall should not play for England. A thirty something who's been capped for Australia should not be called up.

Essex been docked 12 points for the Feroze Khushi bat incident in April.

They had set precedent with Nic Maddinson for Durham a few years back. But they came to that decision in 3 weeks not 5 months!!!

Past the paywall
and now released by Essex (at the end of his contract).......

It might be a good idea if Worcestershire schedule their first 2 home games again at Kidderminster for 2025.
I know they don't really want to play there if they can help it, but with the season appearing to start earlier and earlier, they can't afford any washouts.
And I'm sure there will be much more rain in the next 5/6 months that will make getting the ground ready very difficult.
