Jaiswal just looks the goods in these conditions. Said it before but there's no way he won't have a great career imo, even if it ends up being a bit HTBish.

No denying that Bumrah is a great bowler

In other non news, Bangladesh remain under achievers

How ?
Look at the two teams on paper , Bangladesh should be proud of how they have played in the series. They should back themselves to beat South Africa at home in the next test series.

Whatever it takes!!!
This is an amazing win. We lost 8 sessions to weather and we still won with almost 2 sessions to spare. Winning a test in about 5.5 sessions is just something else.

Bangladesh have shown good signs though. Think this is another side, like SL, who will be on the up and up. The key will be to see if they can replace Shakib properly.

They did ok.

Bumrah-Jadeja-Ashwin is prolly the greatest bowling attack in Asia ever. Don't think three sub 25 bowlers have ever played together.

Shami, Kuldeep, Siraj, Axar, Akash Deep are also able support.

52 overs. This is probably the least any team has batted in history to win a test match.
Record is 46 overs.

It happened between England vs West Indies in 1935

England batted 46 overs exactly for the win , India needed 46.5 overs to beat SA in 2024.

Ashwin-Jadeja were winning home series with guys like Ishant, Bhuvi, Umesh etc. Add Shami and Bumrah to the mix and it's lights out.

Sadly, these two haven't played much at home and even less together.

Shami missed 2015 SA series, 2017 Aus series, 2021 Eng series, 2021 NZ series, 2024 Eng series, 2024 Bang series at home.

Bumrah missed 2019 SA series, 2019 Bang series, 2021 NZ series, 2023 Aus series.

Only one series has had all 4 of Ashwin, Jadeja, Bumrah and Shami which is SL 2022.

If Suryavanshi is 13, then I also am 13..... Iykyk.
I’d believe it.
Best bowling averages, minimum 150 wickets.

A little misleading considering his career isn’t finished.

Other bowlers after their 150th wicket who deserve a mention (off the top of my head, probs forgot some):

Waqar 27 matches 154 @ 18.35
Botham 29 matches 151 @ 19.39
Pollock 50 matches 210 @ 19.86
Lindwall 37 matches 154 @ 19.88
Davidson 37 matches 153 @ 20.05
Marshall 56 matches 281 @ 20.29
Garner 43 matches 196 @ 20.40
Ambrose 46 matches 214 @ 20.51

Also just gonna recognise McGrath and Murali for longevity.

McGrath 110 matches 508 @ 21.01
Murali 113 matches 700 @ 21.33

Two declarations for less than 80 runs is hilarious
