English Domestic Season 2024

All the effort the sides put in and the weather has the final say, very frustrating, and I'm a neutral.

Play to start at New Road at 13.55 BST (About 30 min) from now, assuming it doesn't rain again.

No play today at,
Durham v Kent
Glam v Glos
Leic v Derby
Sussex v Middx
York v Northants

Only 4 matches have started, and 2 are currently off for rain/badlight.

Perhaps cricket would work better as a summer sport.

I appreciate that at no point in the year can the weather be guaranteed however you really are pushing your luck trying to play in the last week of September. Quite apart from the rain this week it was decidedly cold at Lord’s two weeks ago and the crowds at the recent ODIs have had to wrap up warm too.

As long as it keeps raining there a draw will almost certainly do for both of them.
I wouldn't trust either side not to collapse twice, particularly in these conditions.
Notts in particular if they lose will want to make sure they get enough bonus points, just incase.

It's about 20/30 minutes until play is due to start, already 2 matches called off today.
Durham v Kent
Leic v Derby.

No play before lunch at Chelmsford, Worcester, Nottingham & Leeds.
Inspections everywhere else between now & Midday.

Play due to start at Cardiff at Midday. (And then off to lunch at 1.00pm) Seriously, why not play for TWO hours then have a 30 minute break at 2.00pm.?
Glos won the toss, put Glam in.

No play at Worcester today, not what Lancashire needed.
Still a very small chance of a win, but hard to get more than say 19 points from it (16 for win, 3 bowling pts)

Tomorrow is better day (No Rain) so there could be something planned for a win/lose
