Oh well, Bangladesh had a few good sessions, but this test match is clearly headed in only one direction now.

Dunno if you can claim a team bats deep when 1-4 are only marginally better than 9-11 against challenging bowling

Nahid Rana doubles his highest score of 1 in his fifth test innings. On track to reach his highest first class score of 4* after 24 innings.

That running is completely logical when you're Nahid Rana; even a 50% chance of scoring one run makes sense with an average of 0.8.

What on Earth was Mehidy thinking?

That's selfish , trying to protect the not out rather than the Bangladeshi Chris Martin
Yep, it wasn't very good at all. Didn't help that Nahid took a quick single on the fifth ball of the next over to protect Melody.

Rohit and Kohli are possibly playing their last WTC cycle. I don't see them surviving past the next one year playing like this.

Their decline and that of the batting line as a whole probably means that India will have a really tough time winning any test match in Australia.

Amazing day. Objectively the conditions were more benign for batting today but the runs scored and wickets that fell on either day tell an opposite tale.

Both those luminaries did not have it in them to score meaningful runs on the last AUS tour itself. But somehow things transpired in India's favor. Still, it's good that people are stumbling onto the fact that Rohit but particularly Kohli are WAY past their use-by date. Only the other day some determined Kohli fanboy was correcting me that Kohli is in some grand form right now and that he'd take his average over 50 by the time AUS tour concludes.
