*Official* New Zealand in Sri Lanka

Definitely Phillips. Quite unlucky to only have 1. Then Santner, who was tidy and should have had Kamindu if Phillips hadn't misread a difficult chance. I didn't watch Ajaz's first spell, but his second was full of pies.
1st session Ajaz hit a nice line and length. Had a tough catch dropped by Latham under the helmet

Love to see an NZ bowler get a wicket like O'Rourke's on tea, genuine pace and making experienced guys like Mathews play instinctively at one he didn't want to
Really hope he starts in the Bangalore test. Most likely will go for that one, would be exciting to see him live.

If SL get to near 300 then game over for NZ.

SL's test fortunes are starting to turn for the better and AUS tour early next year would give us a good measure of their progress.

At least Sri Lanka have their Mendis's the right way around this time.
What a player this guy is. He looked to have so much time against any bowler he was up against when I watched him live at the Oval, even if on that occasion he didn't go on and convert a good score into a big ton. Then again, he didn't need to given England's profligacy.

Mendis continuing his rise. Great find for Sri Lanka and a real enforcer in the middle order it seems like.

That dropped catch has cost NZ quite badly, along with Ajaz yet to properly settle into his work. Will have to regroup soon.
