Before this test match started Root & Williamson had shared 32 centuries apiece.

Number of innings played: Williamson- 176
Root- 263

.. That's 97 innings less.. God knows how many centuries Kane would've had if he bats for that many.
If he'd played for England he would have had to play a lot more against Australia and India and a lot less against Zimbabwe, so he might've managed a few more, but let's not pretend it's inherently easier to have the longer fixture list

He's scored 4 test tons against Bangladesh, the same amount of test tons that he has scored against England, are you calling England minnows?
And how many did Kane scored against Australia at home? Zero.
At least Root scored 4 against Aussies at home and I think he will improve his average in Australia next year.

Kane - 2 hundreds against Aus in 11 games

Root - 4 hundreds against Aus in 34 games

No point comparing them anyways tbh. Just enjoy them while they’re still playing.

Another catch for Joe Root...

And another milestone brought in this match... his 200th test catch.

Now just 10 away from Rahul Dravid's record.
