Gotta say the British options are far better


Richie McCaw, Dan Carter, Israel Adasanya, Scott Dixon, Peter Burling, Bond & Murray, Hamish Kerr etc. are better than the Aussies too.


Edit: Also since McIlroy is Northern Irish the UK can claim him too, and he's better than the Aussies.

Yeah, quite a good player (but I can think of many union fullbacks who were better).Unfortunately he's probably most remembered for his terrible error in the 2008 World Cup final which gifted a try to Benji Marshall and after that the Kiwis were too good.

I rate Slater very high. Not as iconic as JT because he was the main man in a premiership-winning campaign for a less glamorous club.

Fair enough, but I'm used to watching the likes of Christian Cullen, Mils Muliana, and Ben Smith so perhaps don't rate Slater so highly. I'd put Slater on about Chris Latham level.

I always thought Greg Inglis was a very good player though.

I don't know any of them. I'm from rugby league territory so union is more of a casual sport for me. Yeah, Inglis is my favourite ever player from the NRL. Generational athletic ability.
