Top 10 ODI Innings of All time

Waugh had to score 120* (110) off an attack that included peak Donald and Pollock to win with two balls to spare. That's more difficult in my book.
We are talking about a top ten innings. Make no mistake, Steve’s knock was a better one…I’m just bringing up a knock that many have forgotten…one ball was still used in the innings.

Oh Tamim's was a great innings, no doubt. Defo wouldn't make my top ten though. Could make my top twenty on a good day, and make my top thirty on a consistent basis.

the thing that most people seem to forget about bevan is that he was more than capable of scoring at a fair pace and his 103 off 95 balls against SA chasing 284 is a perfect example of that, his 83 off 79 against pakistan in pak is another. people use the fact that he was such a sensible player against him, for example when he scored 75 off 125 balls on a seamer friendly wicket chasing 200 odd, it was actually a brilliant inning in the circumstances even if it came at a SR of 60. and there were times when he did do exactly that, for instance his 79 off 142 balls against pakistan in 97 was made chasing 181, no surprise who won with 3 balls to spare either.

with regards to MOM's well thats really a foolish way to compare any player. an MOM award means nothing especially with the way they're given out. you could bet your life that a person who scores a 65 odd on a seamer friendly wicket where the teams overall total is 180, wont get the MOM. rather it would go to the bowler who took 5 wickets, even though his contribution was considerably less. and really do you expect bevan to get many MOM's batting at 6? because it largely required the entire aussie top order to fail for him to do so.his 50 that saw australia home still gave mark waugh the MOM for scoring his 80 odd at the start, even if he got out at a time when he really needed to stay.
theres never been a more perfect ODI player than bevan, and there never will be. the fact that he could play every sort of innings in every situation only emphasises that. if anyone ever plays an innings remotely near as good as his 185* off 132 balls chasing 320 against an Asian XI in any form of the game i'd be extremely surprised indeed.
Sad that this truth has been forgotten by so many

Head was brilliant, but imo the match situation and subsequent batting conditions and Indian bowling after the very first few overs; doesn't comes any where close to Top 10 (let alone 5) for me. Won't necessarily call it ATG as well really.
He was facing possibly India’s best ever ODI bowling attack ever and that attack was possibly one of the most destructive WC attacks ever assembled before the final. And surviving the first 10 or so overs was extremely tough, because of which Head’s innings should get rated well. Even after that it wasn’t a flat pitch, and Labu was batting pretty slowly, it was only Head that started attacking. From a position of 47-3 to chase 240 against a home team in terrifying form by simply blunting them, is no mean feat.

Head in 23 final maybe? Came out against one of the best collective 5 man attacks we've seen on a deck where India's top 6 couldn't score and took australia from the 3 down wobble stage to as easy a win as you'll ever see.

Oh, don't get me wrong, it was no doubt a Great innings. Just that the pitch and bowlin after the initial 10 overs, and the match situation, doesn't qualifies it for Top 10 in my book.

Fair. Although for me, cause of the Indian attack and the factors listed by Nintendo, it is.

What would your top 10 be?
Hmmm..... I will go:

Maxwell 201* vs Afghanistan
Kapil 175 vs Zimbabwe
Richards 189 vs England
Gilchrist 149 vs Sri Lanka
Lloyd 102* vs England
Anwar 194 vs India
O'Brien 113 vs England
Waugh 120* vs SA
Miandad 116* vs India
Gibbs 175 vs Australia

Might be forgetting a few.

Will probably go Kohli’s 183 instead of Miandad’s 116, and squeeze in Head somehow, but largely agree

Fair enough. Kohli 183 as well as 133 will definitely cut my top 20, as will Dhoni 183, Sachin twin desert tons and Rohit 264. Head should probably cut too. Might be underestimating that innu a bit, but yeah, not sure it does or not.
