Yeah a real streetfighter with gears to his game. If Dravid was The Wall, then Miandad should have been called The Bur, annoying little prick that he was. I'll vote for Dravid only because Miandad was past his prime when I started watching cricket but elders in the family regarded him very highly indeed. It's Dravid but Miandad is highly underrated in this forum. A true ATG bat and this poll is close.
This except I'm going one step further and voting for the guy. It's Dravid but Miandad is highly underrated in this forum. A true ATG bat and this poll is close.
An oddly insightful post from you. It's Dravid but Miandad is highly underrated in this forum. A true ATG bat and this poll is close.
Yeah it's close enough I'm tempted to switch. I find it very hard to order these two batsmen in particular, with YK just behind. Root has done enough to be in this class too imo. This except I'm going one step further and voting for the guy.
As you're here. Why?Dravid for sure
Dodgy home stuff of Miandad, where his record is significantly better than away. I believe there was a good 10 year stretch where he wasn't given lbw even once at home. And besides that, I also rate Dravid highly; quite close to Ponting. As you're here. Why?
Admitting to the multi?Dodgy home stuff of Miandad, where his record is significantly better than away. I believe there was a good 10 year stretch where he wasn't given lbw even once at home. And besides that, I also rate Dravid highly; quite close to Ponting.
sorry that I have a view on history, a global perspective and a nuanced view on the numbers that’s a touch too much for you to appreciateAn oddly insightful post from you.
I wouldn’t consider “anything before X year doesn’t count” to be any sort of relevant view on history, but thats just me.sorry that I have a view on history, a global perspective and a nuanced view on the numbers that’s a touch too much for you to appreciate
Context, something you lack. It’s absolutely correct to say that players who played in a pre professional era when there were 2 maybe 3 competitive teams and played far fewer tests in far less diverse conditions have a higher bar compared to modern players.I wouldn’t consider “anything before X year doesn’t count” to be any sort of relevant view on history, but thats just me.
