It's inevitable because he lacks a functioning forward defense and he's going to be facing Jasprit Bumrah not Spud Anderson, PEDs Wood or Chris Woakes.

I'm not expecting marsh to continue averaging 50. A large part of his recent success was just a peak marnus-esque run of drop catches. He's also just not the spud he was 3 years ago. His defence is still shite but he's actually using his brain and smashing half volleys and long hops for 6 like every ox chested 6 foot man should.

Whole idea that he shouldn't have leeway despite his recent form because of his past spudness misses the fact that he's now an alpha.

Look at desperation of Australian to win a series against india after a decade .

Ponting clearly want to win so giving rubbish Idea to select pathetic bowlers .

Har**** Rana , akashdeep is way better than him .
Forgot about Akashdeep dude had a good debut Test against England in Ranchi. It was weird he was not given a chance in Dharamsala in final test.

Bowled good pace consistently was above 140k & moved the ball. He can do slogging as well if needed.
Punter clearly not familiar with domestic Indian pace stocks. Hopefully Agarkar hasn't forgotten Akashdeep.
H Rana will be there and may as well play in Perth.

Yeah look I don't think MMarsh should be dropped or anything but anyone being optimistic about his chances is being... well, very optimistic.

When Green makes 12(73) in each of the first three innings of the summer because he's too scared to hit anything off the square or rotate the strike, we'll have to make some other arrangements.
Or perhaps coddle him some more.

Akashdeep should paly atlest two tests we need to rotate fast bowlers through out the series also avesh khan has great fc record but lacks brain so harshit should play

all this nonsense about having to rotate fast bowlers through a five match series ffs.

carb up, down a few coldies the night before and get out there and bowl like the wind for 5 straight tests ffs. its not every year you get to tour australia (although give it a decade and for indians it will be)

Optus is hosting Perth test I think. It is a difficult venue for visiting sides but Australia's washed up batting offers a opportunity as well. Could be Khawaj'as one final dance

Ponting a bit optimistic imo. Our batting has been sketchy for a while now. Smith and Marnus have been in the doldrums and we’ve moved Smith out of position on top of that because we don’t have an opener to replace Warner. India faves I think.

Kuldeep should play all 5 tests so of course he will not. Trashwin would sneak in. Jadeja would also be playing on past reputation he's in decline himself. Shame on AUS batters if they allow him to bowl quick and economically.

I find it very hard to believe that you don't know that the WACA is no longer a test ground and that there have been several tests at the new stadium (which is being used in the forthcoming series) and that Australia's won all of them. The fact the latest date is 2017 should have told you. And the fact you commented on the 2018 Aus vs India test. Also saying 'couldn't beat New Zealand' misses the conditions that match, which was one of the flattest, easiest batting pitches ever seen in this country.

Glass eating aside, I know you're not this stupid, but you're trying very hard to make me reconsider.
