The answer is that apparently you move slower when above and in your stroke.Can someone explain the 15m swimming pool rule that the British guy got disqualified for?
What advantage does a swimmer have by staying under water for longer as I would have thought you'd move quicker when above and in your stroke?
Something about momentum from the push off the wall maybe? The underwater part is faster anyway, hence the limit.
