He did well in India tbf, but at this stage in his career he should be playing CC. This idea of learning your craft in the test arena is just selectoral arrogance.

He was loaned away by Somerset and has hardly played

it’s the same with that other spinner they took to India

the ECB is all in with the Hundred and doesn’t really care much for test cricket

if Bashir didn’t play for England , he would hardly play at all during the peak summer months
