*Official* West Indies Tour of England, JULY 9th to 25th, 2024-- 3 TEST MATCHES

Well that could not have gone much worse. The bowling apart from Alzarri was decent, but wow that lower middle order batting was awful.

Atkinson looked good, he has the basics to be a test class bowler.

I do think we were a little meek today, even Athanaze was blocking half volleys. They need to find the balance between patience and keeping the scoreboard ticking.

They need someone at the top who can fling bat. A Dwayne Smith type. We get bogged down by our approach early on and fail to realize that dot ball buildup leads to rash shots and then not being in control. It’s just as important as hitting boundaries.

Agreed. Kraigg has been stinking up the place recently. Not setting good tone.

Another perspective is the weak middle order. Blocking balls trying to get themselves in can work with this approach, it’s just that you gotta back it up with your skills. Not fall prey to stupidity.

They are also all under prepared. They spent ages in Australia ahead of the tests. Here they're well short of match readiness. As soon as they lost that toss, it was pretty inevitable given the quality of our batting.

Understood, they were cows for the slaughter.
