this is the exact sort of circlejerk **** that i was alluding to, thanks for proving my pointYeah gatekeeping the format that requires the most cricketing skills, talent, temperament and IQ is weird.

Tests obviously the superior format etc, but it is a bit tiresome on that topic on here of late. There seemed to be a lot of try hard posts during the T20 WC bragging about not watching it etcYeah gatekeeping the format that requires the most cricketing skills, talent, temperament and IQ is weird.
Man what does Tendulkar have to do to be #1 in his own country? Contend for second best bat of all time in tests and first in ODIs? Nope not enough. The fact that he's literally India's only truly ATG quality bowler in their entire history means that he has to be in the argument atleast even without the longevity. If we'd produced a Hadlee or a Mcgrath then obviously no
Bowling > Batting in terms of winning matches. Particularly fast bowling, if you want to win matches away from home.Man what does Tendulkar have to do to be #1 in his own country? Contend for second best bat of all time in tests and first in ODIs? Nope not enough.
You had no point to make relevant to this thread. This is basically a comparison thread.this is the exact sort of circlejerk **** that i was alluding to, thanks for proving my point
No one in this thread talked down about or made a negative comment about Bumrahs T20 career or the format.Tests obviously the superior format etc, but it is a bit tiresome on that topic on here of late. There seemed to be a lot of try hard posts during the T20 WC bragging about not watching it etc
bumrah's away test series record is not as impressive ashwin keeping inia undefeated at home for 12 yearsBumrah's away contributions plus this T20 triumph matter more to Indian legacy than Ashwin.
It's not about Tendulkar. I am the biggest Tendulkar fanboy on this forum.Man what does Tendulkar have to do to be #1 in his own country? Contend for second best bat of all time in tests and first in ODIs? Nope not enough.
No you're notI am the biggest Tendulkar fanboy on this forum.
you were the one randomly crying about his longevity issues despite him having been the 2nd most active Indian pacer in tests with only 1 test less than the 1st on that list since his debutYou had no point to make relevant to this thread. This is basically a comparison thread.
The greatest cricketers in Indias past and even in the present are guys who had exceptionally long and distinguished Test and white ball careers. Bumrah doesn't compare particularly well yet in the longevity area, especially in Tests. You crying about it doesn't change that.
are these people in the room with us right now?No one in this thread talked down about or made a negative comment about Bumrahs T20 career or the format.
The only ones making this an issue about formats are the ones white knighting for T20.
the last time i was active on this forum everyone was fellating pacers as the alpha species of cricket and cooking up hypothetical atg showdowns that would be low scoring and feature bowlers rawdogging every batsmen because bowlers are more valuable especially pacersIt's not about Tendulkar. I am the biggest Tendulkar fanboy on this forum.
But he was a batsman. Do you know how many Tests India won in the 90s (1 jan 1990-31 dec 1999), away from home? One - in Sri Lanka. Their record was 1-15 and 23 draws. Won zero Tests outside of Asia. With arguably the best batsman since Bradman. That's not Tendulkar's fault - it's just that batsmen don't win matches consistently, especially away from home; fast bowlers do. That's why, until recently, Pakistan had a much better away record than India.
Pakistan's record during the same period 17 wins, 14 losses and 10 draws. That included wins in England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, India, Australia, and South Africa. Fast bowling. It's just more critical than batsmen.
And that's why Bumrah is the best.
Fighting words.No you're not
This is very very arguable, and I would towards you being not his biggest fanboy on this forumIt's not about Tendulkar. I am the biggest Tendulkar fanboy on this forum.
