2nd semi-final: India vs England | Providence

England would win a shortened game. India would open with Kohli who would stink the place out for half of it and have even more of a negative impact.
agreed. Shorter the game, greater the chance of a less skilled more luck dependent team winning

As I said earlier it isn’t England’s mistake that Pak couldn’t qualify. But something about this T20 WC feel odd . Rain affected matches , Dodgy pitches in USA , good teams getting eliminated in first round itself. Feels like 2007 ODI WC which was farce .
Throw in the fact that half the matches are being played at a time that suits the Indian TV audience (and certainly not the hosts or local spectators) and the fact India had a pre-arranged semi final on a spin friendly track.

Well of course you are going to take a 50 over worldcup win over t20 one for so many reasons. I'd say one 50 over wc worth about 4 t20 world cups.

That's beside the point though. Had Dharmacena not been a complete incompetent **** and knew how to actually apply cricket laws, Nz win that game even after stokes cheated by shovelling his bat on the path of the throw to gain unfair advantage
I agree with the final shenanigans. However out of all tourneys I’ve seen(post 2011 WC), Australia in the 2021 WC is the least deserving winner.

Nah, T20's easily trump the 50 over comps these days. No one plays 50 overs outside of those 4 year benefits to help Aussies feel a little better about themselves. England only cared about it for 4 years and promptly won the thing. We've been all about the T20 really since its inception. 2 wins, 3 Finals, 2 semis in the last 6....at least. No one can match that record, the Kings of the Number 1 Format.

if anyone thinks India will win this is going to get a rude awakening

The Aussies will be using some copium and they are going to come up short

What you have to remember India have all these quality players and their last trophy was 2013 Champions Trophy

A bottling culture which will continue vs England and the Indian review into it will be funny. They control all of cricket yet their National team should be treated as a massive joke

Won by the boundary count bwahaha

More like the format that actually suits all the filthy talentless sloggers England have under their disposal. Heck they even tried them in tests and despite dwelling at number 9 in the wtc table without any significant win against any top nations, some losers actually though it was revolutionary and even wrote books. Talk about hype

Have to be talentless to hit more boundaries. Good argument.

Budget Christian Bale spitting hard facts for a change. The 10:30 AM starts have been embarrassing.
Even the 8.30pm starts seem quite late too. Would games normally be played that late in the WI? Feels like it might be to catch the breakfast audience in India too....

I just want to make one thing clear to all the ignorant people out there.

Both the semi finals had EQUAL amount of extra time in case of rain. It's 250 minutes. It's the SAME for both matches.

Since 1st semi was a night game starting late at 8:30pm, only upto 60 minutes of extra time could be added on the night of the game. And the remaining 190 minutes were reserved for the next day from 2 pm till 5:10 pm. Total 250 minutes (60 mins + 190 mins).

Second semi final because it starts early at 10:30 am, all 250 minutes of extra time could be applied later on the same day, so there was no need to have a "reserve day."

Technically first semi final didn't really have a reserve day either, it was just a "190 minute window" the next day as they couldn't fit much of the 250 minutes of extra time on the night of the match.

Essentially People / ex-cricketers particularly English / media are spreading BS online without knowing the actual facts.

@cnerd123 your position as Defender of Cricket Administrators is under heavy threat from centurymaker. Need to step it up if you don't want to lose your title. I don't think we need more than one. (Many have previously suggested than one was too many.)
