Match 52# Afghanistan vs Bangladesh: Do or die for the Afghans

That was shameful. In it to make your maiden T20 and the **** it all off and collapse.

Literally put Rishad in a position where he had try to think Rashid Khan.

Absolutely disgraceful Mahmudullah.
Coach management captain should be sacked not because they lost the game but because there was no planning for the run chase except to go swing early- Shanto at 3, Shakib at 4 when you need 10 an over is ridiculous. Even sending Rishad up the order to go for slogging would be a no brainer in the situation. Hridoy came to bat at 5 when he should be batting at 3 more so in this match. Brain fade. Also Mahmudullah wtf he was doing looking for singles when 45 needed off 19.

Bangladesh have been playing cricket from 30 years and yet didn’t have the guts to chase 116 runs in 12 overs and only wanted to eliminate Afghanistan. Pathetic 😑
I hope I don't see a single person praising Litton Das "playing a lone hand" or any other such tripe. His approach made this result almost inevitable.

It's been the story for years now. Scattered plans, conservative batting lineups, inconsistent selections, low IQ cricket. Coaches are powerless in BD.

Said it many times but I don’t think that they’ve improved at all in all that time

I personally think they've obviously gone backwards in the last ten years. Probably more talent (though who knows) but absolutely no heart.

Liton got the chase off to the right start and had the best SR up and until Hridoy got out. It was Mahmadullah who started playing with no intent, and then Liton just dug the hole further trying to win the game outright.

I'd say last 5 personally. Seem to remember some really memorable performances in tests and odi's in the 2015-19 cycle, and they played some really good cricket at times during the 19 world cup. It's all been downhill since then.

They’ve definitely produced some talented cricketers but most are brain dead and/or soft

For example, Tamim is highly talented but a massive underachiever

White ball cricket has potential. I'd play the 4 pacers, Rishad, Mehidy. Maybe Litton as an opener.

Throw the rest to the bin, let Shakib do whatever he does as a politician and find some players with a sack.

Taskin and Fizz, playing cricket for a decade. Please learn how to hold a ****ing bat.

I said in the India game, they need a David Warner type.

The corruption in Bangladesh cricket is why they are where they are.

Is this the greatest low-scoring TT game ever ( say with a target below 120)? Between the possibility of three teams going through and the constant threat of rain, it was certainly one of the more dramatic games I have watched.
Das played beautifully but perhaps should have been looking for more boundaries when it was 8/9 down.
