Wow. Amazing. Well done Afghanistan.

Btw, how many CWCs (either format) have there been one of Australia or NZ in the semis? Can't be many.
Assuming you mean when there hasn't been & It's rare.

Aust and/or NZ have made at least the semi finals 20 out of 23 prior ODI & T20 World cups, including World Test Championship (finals).

So 4th occasion this.

Previous occasions; just once in ODIs - 1983 & twice in T20 WCs - 2009 & 2014.

Well done Afghanistan. Thought they'd thrown it away with the bat with all the dots.

High-octane drama at it's best with the semis at stake. Bit of rain around, permutations for 3 teams alive for much of the game. Pleased I turned it on.

Couldn’t stop laughing at that dive. Needs to get a ban for a few games obviously for blatant cheating but it was absolutely hilarious. I now really like the guy.

It’s relatable - it’s something a non athlete like me might do in a high pressure game. Get some instructions from the coach, get a brain freeze on how to implement it, and pretend someone just sliced my hammy and just fall to the ground. A+

Yeah I get the rivalry of not wanting another team to qualify, but to throw away your own chances just doesn't cut the mustard.

If one of your senior players publicly floats the idea of fixing a match to knock out a rival team you don’t get to complain about timewasting IMO. Just for the sheer stupidity of what Hazlewood said whether he was being serious or not.
