Pant at 5 is a proven failure in t20s
Given the length of the batting order, he can be pushed down to whatever position desired. He doesn't need to do much. Just get the top 4 right as they are expected to play the bulk of the overs. Pant can come in if things go haywire. Otherwise not.

Bangladesh have a habit of beating Afghanistan but that's all in the past. Afghanistan clearly look better atm and that's all that matters.
Either way it's a match that will certainly attract it's share of interest.

Got to say the innings by Sky will almost be forgotten as Rohit was so good but I thought he played very well too.

As for Australia Head stood up on a big occasion once more but not much else bar the Marsh knock.

Now we wait.

With Rohit going on from a fast start and playing a great innings, and Bumrah getting Head at a crucial moment, and Ind nearly knocking Aus out(Afg look far better than Bang and in better spirits too), this match feels like some good therapy

Looks like this went almost as expected. Too many blokes in the t20 side who are like automatic cars - no clutch in sight.

Wade and Maxwell are past it to the point where they perform so sporadically you can’t bank on them, Warner too (at least he’s gone after this tourney). David is a club standard player and it’s an insult to the nation that he’s ever worn our colours. Stoinis never aims up when it matters and the second spinner in the squad is literally cursed.

Time for an overall in this format even if they sneak into the finals and end up inevitably winning it.

We can solve the problem of the second spinner and captain with one easy trick: Chris Green

Australia, India and England are very similar in that they all have a heck of a lot of old players in the sides who play more than one format or all 3 in some cases. You would think that has to change after this competition and various players will get phased out or drop formats to play longer in tests may be. Going to be an interesting time seeing who gets dropped where.
