State Regular
Macko, Wes and Steyn. Immy would be there as an AR but strictly 3 from those listed. Wasim gets in for the LH variation.

State Regular
Marshall, Steyn, Ambrose
It was very tough for me to leave Amby out - and in a H2H I rate him over Akram (just). However, in combination terms, I felt Wasim's LH angle added more to the whole. Marshall is a lock, Steyn probably is as well. It's difficult to leave any one of that calibre out.

International Captain
So, it seems like a consensus for #batdeep among CW here.

Throw in Warne at XI, and it would be an absolutely stupendous batting tail.

The Wheel is Forever
I would pick Lillee, McGrath and Marshall but from here a trio of McGrath, Marshall and Akram - I think you get excellent variety and ability to bowl any side out, in any conditions, with both old and new ball.

International Coach
I would need to know if there will be a batting allrounder in the team first, so basically is Sobers also in the team?

Assuming no Sobers then I'll go with Wasim, Marshall and McGrath (If Procter was an option I'd pick him over Wasim)
It's your team: you choose the other 8 players as well. If you normally choose 2 spinners and 2 pacers, you should only vote for 2 options.

Hmm are we taking into account batting for sake of team balance?
Per the above, yes (if that would normally be a consideration for you).

Making a tentative comeback....

Would like to see 50 votes or so to get a real consensus
Nice strategic vote for Steyn as the 3rd best ever pacer (rather than Imran or Hadlee, your boy McGrath's main voting threat).

It's pretty embarrassing. If McGrath got to bowl on the NZ tracks Hadlee did he'd have averaged about 14
